IT negating the " I "

Getting up,monitoring the Tick Tock, gulping the breakfast with no breaks, loading the shoulders, reaching the 'karmsthan',getting into the laptop attitude, work, browse, lunch, coffee, dinner ,back home and rest in no peace with the entire day schedule rewinding in head.....Yes thats the snapshot of the current day corporate IT professionals' life...

I remember the urge I used to have waiting for the clock to strike 7 and Dads' arrival from office was an indication of me updating him on the school happenings and then going for a mini outing with him.Never saw him bring the work or worked out brain to home which is equivalent to a laptop. Not sure whats in store for the future generation of we IT guys...after seeing some of my freinds children ...the term IT seems to be  learnt even before birth just like Abhimanyu learnt the art of battle in his mother's womb...

We seem to be so busy with generating revenue the term "HOBBY" is out from our lexicon. For people who know that hobby is just saying listening to music, cricket, football or reading ,they must know that hobby is something you like to follow...for e.g if music, then you know or try to know in and out of it.

In this process which appears to us as "building a career" we are forgetting the normal things which give us happiness in life..we might upload photos with freinds and get elated with the comments or the tags...but actual happiness needs to be felt ..social networking should be in real by meeting friends and actually feeling the term "Like" and not just what seems to be a click.

People from different part of India travel down to the IT hub cities for career just to be an enquoted ITian who on festival days needs to be happy by uploading wishes online without actually experiencing it...

Recent example was Holi...during my childhood days i remember the morning of Holi used to be an excitement to get up ,put oil in hairs to avoid side effects of color, seeing mom preparing various dishes including my favorite "Dahi Vada",then getting busy with rubbing off the colors....and now the day passed by just saying "Happy Holi" with only the facial colour visible ....

I think somewhere we are loosing out on our real life which we were brought up with, which used to be a perfect balance of education, career plans, festivals, hobbies, relatives etc...

IT world seems to be pulling off the time for "I" from our lives..
